Privacy Policy

We collect only what we need to run the service:

• Name, as provided by you or your sign-in provider
• Email address used for your account
• Profile image or avatar, where your sign-in provider supplies one
• Mobile number, only if you choose to provide it
• Authentication information needed to keep you signed in
• Account and profile settings, such as your preferred content language
• Membership information, such as whether your account is free or Premium
• Listening history, saved/library items and playback progress, where these features are implemented
• Device and browser information where technically required to deliver and secure the service
• Cookies and local/session storage used for sign-in, preferences and player state
• Basic service and security logs
• Payment transaction information, where applicable (see section 4)

• To create and maintain your account and keep you signed in
• To deliver audio content and remember your place in a story or episode
• To provide your library, saved items and membership status
• To respond to support, privacy and account requests
• To keep the platform secure and to prevent abuse
• To meet legal, tax and record-keeping obligations where applicable

You may sign in to Neela Stream using supported methods such as Google, Apple, or an email address and password. When you use Google or Apple, that provider handles the sign-in and may share basic profile information with us, such as your name, email address and profile image.

We do not receive or store your Google or Apple password. Where you use an email and password for Neela Stream, the password is handled by our authentication provider in a hashed form and is not visible to us.

Neela Stream Premium is priced at ₹499 per year. When Premium payments are enabled, payment processing may be handled by a third-party payment provider such as Razorpay.

We do not store full card numbers, UPI credentials, CVV codes or banking passwords. Payment providers process payment information under their own privacy policies and security standards. We may retain limited transaction records — such as a payment reference, amount, date and status — to confirm your membership and maintain financial records.

We use third-party services only where they are needed to operate the platform. These currently cover authentication and account management, database and file hosting for content delivery, and payment processing for Premium once activated.

Neela Stream does not use advertising networks, ad targeting, or third-party behavioural tracking. If we introduce analytics or any new category of processing in future, we will update this policy before or when that change takes effect.

We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information, including access controls on our database, row-level access rules that restrict user data to the account it belongs to, encrypted connections, and restricted administrative access.

No online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we do not make that claim. If we become aware of a security issue that materially affects your information, we will take appropriate steps and inform affected users where required.

We retain account and service data for as long as your account is active and we need it to provide the service. After account deletion, some information may be retained where necessary for legitimate legal, tax, accounting, security or dispute-resolution purposes, and for the periods required by applicable law.

• Deletion — request deletion of your Neela Stream account
• Questions — ask how a specific feature uses your information
• Requests — raise any other data-related request in writing

Neela Stream is intended for use by adults, and by minors only with the involvement and consent of a parent or guardian who accepts our Terms & Conditions on their behalf.

We may update this policy as the service develops. The effective date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Continued use of Neela Stream after an update means you accept the revised policy.
